B2B Marketers want Quality over Quantity When it Comes to Lead Generation



What is important, Quality or Quantity in B2B marketing? Most of the marketers prefer quality over quantity, as it’s better to have some good quality leads rather than leads which are just increasing count. When it comes to lead generation services dumping enormous leads will not help, if quality factor is not added. What is the ultimate goal of any business? I hope answer is revenue. The main reason for choosing quality over quantity is because quantity, being good in number contributes less value as compared to single quality lead. So, a proper lead management should be done to focus on quality leads.

Why marketers focus more on Quality?

Biggest thing which is required to keep the business up and running is SUSTAINABILITY, one word with a deep meaning. Marketers want continuity in business and especially when it comes to lead generation services. Quality in leads is like bullet hitting the target, because it is about marketing skill and potentialities of a person, which a person needs to develop, and once it is there it will remain forever. Quality can be anything which impresses your client, so it can be writing a good content for a website, sending informative emails or personally educating client about any product, ultimately it should leave a positive note about your company.

Quality not an act but fact

Despite of constant pressure of earning more from less, business leaders still focus on quality. So, what can be the reason behind it? The suitable answer of this question is competition. In today’s competitive world there are several companies doing the same business like you, so in order to stop your customers contacting them and adding new customers in your pocket, it’s mandatory to meet and maintain the expectations, which obviously can be obtained by retaining the quality. Hence, it is appropriate to say that quality overshadows quantity when it comes to success.

Quality vs. Quantity

There often is conflict between quality and quantity, because today b2b marketers expect more from less, still no one wants to hamper quality. But what happens when you are trying to expand business, in that case quantity lead matters. Here lies a big challenge, in such cases focus needs to be on quality lead and quantity lead and a proper balance is required for growth of the company. I think that targeting on quantity lead is good as far as quality is not getting effected, what is your opinion about it? More is not always better; this is the fact which we need to remember.

Successful generation of leads ultimately enriches the business. If you come up with too many leads, your ability to follow-up is overwhelmed and chances of losing fruitful leads are more. Therefore, quality is a must, which should be the focus of your lead generation policy and it depends on the nature of your business to include quantity or not. To widen a business, one can always go with quantity, keeping quality as its primary aim.
